The invention relates to a buffering and absorbing device of vertical temperature deformation of a whole bridge and a construction method thereof. The buffering and absorbing device comprises a metal corrugated plate which can buffer and absorb deformation; the metal corrugated plate is tightly stuck on the back face of a bridge abutment; and a plurality of inched retracting seam material layers, namely pressure releasing strips, are embedded into the metal corrugated plate. The construction method comprises the following steps of: firstly, manufacturing the metal corrugated plate in a factory according to the size of the bridge abutment; embedding a plurality of the inched retracting seam material layers, namely the pressure releasing strips, into the metal corrugated plate; secondly, in a process of constructing the bridge abutment, reserving screws on the back face of the bridge abutment; then, utilizing the reserved screws and fixing a corrugated metal material on the back face of the bridge abutment; and finally, backfilling soil and compacting. According to the buffering and absorbing device disclosed by the invention, driven soil pressure acting behind the abutment in a temperature rising and expanding process is reduced; and meanwhile, the buffering and absorbing device is good for reducing cracks generated between the filled soil and the bridge abutment due to that an upper part structure is contracted in a temperature reduction process.
