Hybrid Distributed VideoCoding UsingSCACodes

We describe thearchitecture forourdistributed video coding(DVC)system. Somekeydifferences betweenourworkand previous systems include a newmethodofenabling decoder motion compensation, andtheuseofserially concatenated accumulate syndrome codes fordistributed source coding. Toevaluate performance, wecompare oursystemtotheH.263+andH.264/AVC videocodecs. Experiments showthatoursystem iscomparable toDVC systems fromStanford and Berkeley inthesense thatoursystem performs better thanH.263+Intra, butworsethanH.263+Inter andH.264/AVC.
