FIRE BEHAVIOR OF CONCRETE FILLED CIRCULAR HOLLOW SECTION COLUMNS WITH MASSIVE STEEL CORE

The paper analyses the structural fire behavior of centrically loaded concrete-filled steel CHS with a massive steel core. A numerical model for a geometrically and temperature-dependent materially nonlinear analysis of the imperfect structure is presented. A comprehensive numerical study shows the influence of the thermal expansion as well as the bonding behavior between steel and concrete on the structural fire behavior.
