Comportamiento mecánico de uniones estructurales con adhesivo. Influencia de los parámetros operacionales

The influence of operational conditions on the mechanic behaviour of adhesive joints is one of the most controversial subjects and one of the main causes of the disparity of the results obtained in the tests. The surface condition of the materials being joined and the thickness of the adhesive layer in the joint, are two of the fundamental parameters for the design of the structural joint. Cyanocrylate and polyurethane adhesives applied to galvanized, aluminized and coated metallic materials show important differences in the mechanic resistance of the joints, depending on the operational parameters, which will be analyzed in this job. The joint mechanical resistance is interrelated to the fracture mechanism (ductile-brittle) and, on the other hand, to the cohesion-adhesion mechanism, both included in this study.
