The problem of stable control for chaotic nonlinear system is studied. The H/sub /spl infin// controller is designed by H/sub /spl infin// loop shaping theory, and provides the method for selecting the parameters of compensator. Because the H/sub /spl infin// controller is a high-order controller, it is difficult to realize, we simplify it to a multivariable PID controller. Tested by controlling Lorenz system and the simulation results show the validity of the scheme.
