Voltage feed welding transformer at no-load

The aim of the proposed paper is to present the simplified model of welding transformer supplied by voltage frequency inverter. The model is used to simulate welding transformer behavior at no-load. Special attention is paid to the magnetic behavior of transformer core and produced iron losses. The hysteresis loop and voltage frequency inverter duty cycle is also taken into account. The results show that such a model could be used as an useful tool in design of welding transformer.
