The electronic ballast of an illuminance adjustable discharge lamp with high power of this invention comprises a main circuit and a controlling circuit or a main circuit, a controlling circuit and anigniting circuit. The main circuit comprisises a power factor correcting unit, a half-bridge inverse-converter and a resonance circuit, the controlling circuit comprises an illuminance adjusting signal circuit and a driving circuit, wherein the resonance circuit includes a capacitor C1, a inductor L1, a capacitor C2, a inductor L2 (or a transformer T1) and a gaseous discharge lamp with high power; one end of the capacitor C1 is connected to the connecting points of two switching transistors of the half-bridge inverse-converter, the other end is connected to one end of the inductor L1.
