Simulation Experiment of the Current Distribution Along Axial Direction of the Grounding Network

A method of measuring and analyzing current distribution and ground- resistance of the grounding electrode under the power frequency by the simulation experiment in the laboratory is presented in this paper. The isolated sensor of electricity is used in measuring the current distribution inside the grounding electrode in the electrolysis bath. Through measuring and analyzing the ground resistance and the current distribution of the grounding electrode that is dwindled in size according to the geometrical proportion, a series of useful data that reveal the law of current distribution and the law of the dissipation of current are given. This is very helpful not only to the research of the heat stability but also to the design of the grounding grid.
