Strength and Life Analysis of 140 MPa Fluids Pump End

With the software Ansys/Ansys Fe-Safe,one new designed type of 140 MPa fluids pump end was analyzed.The result indicated that when the pump end was endured the pressure of 140 MPa,the maximum Von Mises stress was 630MPa,which was in the intersecting place.The mean stress inside the pump end was 350MPa,which showed that the strength was enough.But when it endured the repeat loading,it's fatigue life was short,it's safety factor was insufficient,it would be destroyed soon.So,this design was not suitable,it should be optimized to extend it is life.
