Nonlinear tolerance of few-mode fiber based transmission systems with random mode coupling

We propose an analytical model for nonlinear propagation in few-mode fiber with random mode coupling. Simulation results show the Q factor can be improved by 5.3 dB for OFDM system with DGD= ±1 ns/km.
