Design and analysis of chemical processes through DYNSIM

The objective of the paper is to extend the problem specific simulation strategies of Gani et al. (1990) together with the special modeling/ computational features that can be employed in an equation-oriented simulator and to illustrate how these features can be employed in integrating process simulation with process design and analysis. The paper therefore describes the problem formulation, the method of solution, and the results obtained through DYNSIM for different simulation problems related to the design/ analysis of chemical processes (the modified Cavett process, 1-hexene production, aromatic extraction process, near-critical extraction of 2-propanol from water by isobutane)
