Keeping better site records

Abstract The records kept on construction sites must provide a level of detail which it is suggested often makes them very inaccessible. For some applications, in particular the analysis of delay claims, a much more general type of record is needed, and it is argued that such a record is often difficult to construct from those normally held. A new computer program, Record-Keeper, has been written to provide the necessary records and this is described in this paper. The record produced by this program, it is believed, will also function as an index to all other records held.
