Computer control and data acquisition system of the negative-ion based NBI for JT-60U

The negative-ion based NBI System for JT60U (N-NBI), the first NBI system in the world using negative ion sources, was completed in March 1996. The computer control and data acquisition system of the N-NBI consists of workstations and VMEbus systems. The software development environment of the system is unified with the UNIX to develop the software more efficiently. The system can facilitate remote operation of the two negative ion sources of the N-NBI.
