PENGARUH MODEL GUIDED DISCOVERY LEARNING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPA PADA SISWAKELAS V DI SD GUGUS VII KECAMATAN SAWAN TAHUN PELAJARAN 2013/2014

The aims of this research is to know the significant difference between the result of learning to the student who taught science through Guided Discovery Learning and the one who taught by conventional teaching method at grade V SD Group VII, Sawan Sub district in academic years 2013/2014. This research is experimental research technique in which use non equivalent post test only control group design. Populations of the research are all of the fifth grade elementary students in Group VII Sawan Sub district in academic years, in which consist of 6 class and 159 students. This research use random sampling technique through lottery for each class. The instrument use to measure the result of teaching is multiple choice type text. The data analyzes used statistic descriptive and statistic inferential by using t test to examine the hypothesis. The result of the research show that there are the significant difference at students’ learning result on the group who taught science by using guided discovery learning and the one who taught by using conventional learning method. The tvalue is 2,92 and ttable with db=47 and significant standard for 5% is 1,67793. Its mean tvalue more than ttable (2,92>1,67793) so that H0 is rejected, and H1 is accepted. Thus, guided discovery learning had effect to the science learning result on that gain by the grade V students in academic year 2013/2014 at Group VIII Sawan sub district.
