Reliability analysis of an electric control system based on type I censored test zero-failure data using Bayesian methods

A zero failure always exists in modern electronic products and its reliability based on zero-failure data has become a problem that needs to be solved to improve the reliability of the whole equipment. This paper solved the problem of parameter selection in the E-Bayesian and hierarchical Bayesian estimation methods and then applied these two Bayesian methods to the zero-failure data of an electric control system for its reliability analysis. Different prior distribution and different parameters are considered in the experiment. The performances using two methods are compared. The experiments are conducted to validate the effectiveness of the failure rate estimation of the electronic control system. It provides a reference for the reliability analyses of other industrial products.
