Case study: Project management - the upgrade of London Underground

The projects which Bombardier is delivering to Metronet are each, in their own right, complex. The combination of them coupled with the need for a system level approach has necessitated an umbrella organisation to enable an integrated approach to delivery. Use of good well defined processes is important not only in understanding what has to be delivered but has the strength of common understanding when talking between divisions. The paper will explore the organisational configurations to ensure integrated delivery. It will also consider some of the processes we use to manage the project. (7 pages)
