Uplink Capacity of Multi-Carrier TDD-CDMA Systems

Traditional capacity model of single carrier TDD-CDMA(Time Division Duplex-Code Division Multiple Access) is not suitable for multi-carrier system. In this article, uplink capacity of multi-carrier TDD-CDMA system was investigated and inter-carrier interference factor model was established.A new model to determinate the uplink capacity of TDD-CDMA is presented, which shows that multi-carrier TDD-CDMA uplink capacity is close related to inter-to-intra cell interference ratio,multi-user detection and inter-carrier interference factor.Simulation work was done to evaluate the theoretical model and the analysis,a good concordance is observed.Simulation results show that it is feasible to evaluate the uplink capacity of multi-carrier TDD-CDMA system using the model;when ACIR(Adjacent Channel Interference Ratio) is higher than 30 dB,the value of inter-carrier interference factor is very small and its impact on system capacity can be ignored and the capacity of multicarrier system is linear to the deployed carrier number.
