TIME TO RECRUITMENT IN A TWO GRADED MANPOWER SYSTEM WITH DIFFERENT EPOCHS FOR DECISIONS AND EXITS

In this paper, the problem of time to recruitment for a two graded manpower system subject to attrition which takes place due to policy decisions is studied using a univariate policy of recruitment. A stochastic model is constructed by assuming that the policy decisions and exits occur at different epochs and the variance of the time to recruitment is obtained when the inter-policy decision times and inter- exit times separately form an ordinary renewal process. The analytical results are obtained by using Laplace transform technique in the analysis and the results are numerically illustrated. The effect of the nodal parameters on the performance measure is studied.
