Pulmonary Calcifications Following Orthotopic Liver Transplantation

: A 48-year-old patient underwent an orthotopic liver transplantation for end stage liver disease. He was reinfected with hepatitis B and D, and his liver function tests deteriorated. In evaluation for liver retransplantation, chest computed tomography revealed a left lower lobe dense infiltrate. Two bron- choscopies with transbronchial biopsy specimens were performed with negative results for opportunistic infection. An open lung biopsy revealed intraalveolar calcifications. We review the literature for this uncommon complication after liver
