Does Adapted Information Help Patients with Cancer?

Models of patients' information needs have great potential in improving health information. Such models can adapt information to patients' medical circumstances, educational level and psychological needs. However, building these models and the information systems based on them can be difficult and costly, and it is difficult to assess the benefits of such systems for the patients. We describe a study to compare the psychological effects for cancer patients of tailored information against information that has not been tailored.
