S and C band GaAs multifunction MMICs for phased array radar

A description is given of the design and the measurement RF results of what are believed to be some of the worlds most advanced working analog GaAs MMICs (monolithic microwave integrated circuits). These multifunction MMICs are designed to fill a multiple role as part of a phased-array radar transmit/receive module. The functions that these chips have been designed to realize are phase shifting, transmit/receive signal routing, transmit mode pre-power-stage amplification, and receive-mode post-low-noise-amplifier amplification.<<ETX>>
