The study of design the roller coaster carriage by using virtual prototype technology

Virtual Prototyping (VP) is put forward recently years and is applied widely in automobile and airplane industries abroad. Roller Coasters are an attractive, and adventurous, and exciting form entertainment. The design task is tough. In this paper we discuss the nature of VP technology, and present how to use the VP in the design of a roller coaster carriage. The Carriage 3D model is created by using PRO\E,then the assembly simulation and the FEM analysis are also discussed. Therefore the product lead time is shorted and the cost is reduced .
