Probe into construction of e-commerce major in undergraduate degree: the experience of Xi'an institute of post and telecoms

The point of this paper is the practice of e-commerce major construction of Xi'an Institute of Post and Telecoms (XIPT), a famous institute focused on information technology in China. After a brief literature review, benefiting from discussions and findings, the writer regards e-commerce as an interdisciplinary applied subject, being an affiliation of commercial science, and then gives the experience of XIPT in detail, including learning objective, capability requirement, curriculum system, teaching process, and so on. Next, specific features of the program are given out. They are continuous scheme of English and computer science study, skill training, and courses about post and telecommunication industry. Finally, future evolvement and changes are under discussion. Diversity has been considerate. The ramification may be the technology infrastructure, business processes, and market analysis and development.
