The fulfillment of the conditions formulated in [1] for the similarity of flows in strongly under-expanded jets of a viscous, thermodynamically ideal gas is studied. The limits of applicability of these conditions are established on the basis of exact solutions of the one-dimensional Navier —Stokes equations and experimental investigations.
