Characteristic Analysis of a Novel Bearingless Switched Reluctance Motor with Double Stator

In this paper, a novel bearingless switched reluctance motor (BLSRM) with double stators is proposed. Firstly, the structure and operating principle are presented. In order to explain advantages of proposed structure, conventional BLSRM are compared. Finally, finite element method (FEM) characteristics of the proposed structure such as inductance. torque and radial force can be obtained, According to the FEM analysis, the proposed BLSRM has linear characteristics of radial force and independence from torque current.
