EXPERIENCES IN THE USE OF WEB-BASED DELIVERY FOR FIRST YEAR ENGINEERS

This paper reports the students’ experiences and views on the use of web-based teaching for the delivery of a first year engineering module on modelling. On the whole the students were positive, but nevertheless there still seems to be several major obstacles to overcome before web based delivery is adopted by large numbers of academic staff.
