Real-time IQ imbalance compensation for coherent optical OFDM transmission

A FPGA-based receiver side (Rx) IQ imbalance compensation scheme for 10.7-Gb/s 16-QAM CO-OFDM transmission is demonstrated in real time. The compensation scheme performs better with the increase of OSNR.
