In the times of "knowledge explosion", in order to meet the development requirements, the self-improvement of teachers is crucial. The paper proposes to make use of virtual learning community (VLC) supported by Web2.0 technology for further education of teachers, which differs from the traditional network education platform. Its greatest character is that not only receiving but creating and sharing information. The authors construct the elements and model of this kind of virtual learning community, and then design a practical case using a Web-based platform named "edu2.0" and make description and evaluation about its working process and results.
