Analysis of in situ retaining walls propped at formation level

The use of formation level props to support an embedded cantilever retaining wall can be advantageous in terms of minimizing thedepth of embedment required for stability/ serviceability. This type of wall is being used increasingly for grade-separated interchanges in connection with road improvement schemes in urban areas.
