The impact of the combined 8-QAM and QPSK subcarrier modulation for coherent optical OFDM

We investigated the optimized signal condition of the combined 8-QAM and QPSK subcarrier modulation for optical OFDM. The performance improvement was confirmed by WDM transmission experiments with the optimized power difference and subcarrier number.
