Response to Lyttkens and Vedovato

Several years after the publication of our article (Dabelko & McCormick 1977), we appreciate the time and effort that Lyttkens & Vedovato (1984) have spent in their cogent critique. Moreover, we are grateful to the Journal of Peace Research for allowing us to respond to their comments. Lyttkens and Vedovato raise several important points about our operationalization of the opportunity costs notion and about
