Dual Repetition-rate Laser Based on In-cavity Fractional Temporal Self-imaging for Low-noise RF Signal Generation

We demonstrate a simple and practical dual repetition-rate laser architecture based on dispersion-induced fractional temporal self-imaging. Experimental noise evaluation confirms that the environmental noise is nearly entirely canceled out when the two laser's outputs are heterodyned, even if the laser is free running, making the laser ideal for low-noise RF signal generation.
