The recent movement of Web 2.0 and the technologies beneath it provide opportunities to reform our educational environments. This paper discusses how to use these new technologies to develop our next generation educational environments that will foster deep learning. To demonstrate the potential impact of these new technologies on computing education, we introduce the architectural design of BRIDGE, our ongoing development of an integrated, collaborative educational environment that is capable of connecting computing theories and industrial practices. We hope that the concept of our design will inspire new developments of such collaborative educational systems.
