Throughput analysis of DS-SFH/SSMA packet radio network in indoor environment

In this paper, we consider a hybrid DS-SFH/SSMA packet radio network utilizing Reed-Solomon codes and study the upper bounds on the performance of the system with good approximate accuracy and simple computational complexity over indoor multipath fading channel models which are characterized by either Rician or Rayleigh distributions. The RS decoding algorithm using channel side information for the presence or absence of multipath interference and multiple access interference is used. The throughput is subsequently derived and computed using the side information and not using the side information. Comparisons between the performance of the DS, SFH and DS-SFH hybrid are given.
