Reversing Louisiana’s Land Loss

Land loss along its coast has plagued Louisiana for decades, increasing the risks posed to the state’s residents, industry, and infrastructure from hurricanes and other large storms. As it embarks on an ambitious, 50-year plan to reverse its coastal land loss, Louisiana plans to implement a wide range of measures to create land, improve habitat, and better protect its people and infrastructure from flooding and other storm-related dangers.
