The relationship between IT adoption, IS success and project success

This paper reviews IS project success related studies of the 1992-2016 period. The relevant academic journal and conferences during the time were scanned. The findings show that while conceptual and empirical articles are dominant, the three theoretical topics, namely IT adoption, IS success and project success are highlighted. Interestingly, although the three streams of research are distinct to each other, they indicate some jointly conceptual constructs. Implications for IS research are also discussed.
