A Novel Interferometry Image Processing Technique

A novel interferometry image processing technique is presented in this paper. Firstly, the interferometry center is determined using Hough transform; then, the edge information of the interferometry circles is detected by means of the conventional edge detection algorithm, such as Sobel Operator. An effective algorithm for the conversion from gray scale to binary image is used during the later processing. And finally, each radius of the interferometry circles is given with the combination of the technique of mathematical morphology. This method successfully solved the problem of edge information extraction under poor image quality. And the measurement results are superior to that of the conventional edge detection methods.
