Abstract The study of dynamical systems generated from the Mackey and Glass delay differential equation shows that attractor correlation dimensions may be determined from far smaller data sets than is currently believed. The observation of scaling comprising contributions from different embeddings is a promising technique in characterizing attractors from small data sets.
