Management system and method for state information using short message

PURPOSE: A system for managing a status using an SMS(Short Message Service) is provided to register status information of mobile communication terminals and a client computer, and to receive status information of service subscribers, so as to inquire a present status of the other party in real time. CONSTITUTION: Mobile communication terminals(110,111) register self status information by wireless channels for an SMS, and inquire status information of service subscribers. A mobile communication system(120) manages the wireless channels of the mobile communication terminals(110), and transceives the status information. A status information management server(130) stores and manages subscriber registration information and the status information of the mobile communication terminals(110,111), and supplies the status information of a client computer(150) or the mobile communication terminals(110,111) when requested. The client computer(150) is connected to the status information management server(130) over the Internet(140), and receives the subscriber status information registered in the status information management server(130) to use an instant message.
