THIS case concerns aman aged 50 years first seen on 30th March, 1956. He complained of a swelling in the region of the right upper jaw. History of the Present Condition.—He had felt "run down" for the past three months and had suffered several bad coughs and colds. Three weeks previously he had had a heavy cold with pain in the right upper jaw for which a right upper molar tooth was removed. One week later an adjacent tooth dropped out and a swelling appeared in the same region which increased rapidly in size and spread on to the hard palate. He was given penicillin lozenges by his dentist with slight improvement in the condition.
