OFDM fine time synchronisation for indoor wireless data communications

Synchronisation is the process that forces the receiver and transmitter to agree upon the timing between them. For an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system, synchronisation is achieved by forcing the receiver to start its FFT at the right time. A technique used to achieve synchronisation for an OFDM-based indoor wireless data communication system is proposed. The performance of the proposed technique has been analysed over the AWGN channel. Preliminary results are presented. (5 pages)
