Abstract During design processes experiments and computational tools are increasingly important. As a result large volumes of data become available. Engineers need a system to cope with: • managing the data flow between the computational aids and experiments; • extracting relevant information from the data coming from various sources in order for it to be interpreted. Computer aided design techniques can be used to satisfy this need. The paper deals with the Engineering Data Interactive Presentation and Analysis System (EDIPAS), which is a tool for both data management and data analysis and presentation.
