Semi-automated extraction from aerial image using improved Hough transformation

Conventional Hough transformation can not detect line segments,so we proposed a method of improved Hough transformation to extract rectangle house.Compared with conventional Hough transformation,improved Hough transformation take full use of data of Hough parameter space,complete the processing of voting and line segment detection,and get the coordinates of line segments' start and end point.Based on these coordinates,we can eliminate over-connected caused by the falsehood line segment and then unite line segment according to angle and distance conditions.Last,optimal line can be acquired by least squares line fitting using some points,buildings' corner points coordinates can be determined by lines' intersection,and then semi-automated building extraction can be completed.The test results indicate that the building outline extracted using this method is true and the precision of location is high.
