A HMAC algorithm based secure online transaction system using block chain technology

Abstract In construction works, the owner and the contractor make an agreement and the contractor has full responsibility of purchasing all materials, labor and required equipment, etc. to complete the work with customer satisfaction. Moreover, if the budget decided to be utilized for the completion of the work may not be fully utilized by the contractor, then the building causes harmful effects such as cracks in the building, becomes weak and thereby reduces its life time. Hence monitoring the utilization of amount is very much essential, and by considering this issue, in this paper, the construction related contract and online transaction management system is proposed. The key objective of this system is to monitor the construction projects and other long-term projects initiated by government or by any other private sector. The main focus of this proposed approach is to closely monitor the transactions to different working team of the concerned project. This proposed system maintains the purchase proof of the materials that are utilized for the construction and all the documents needed to complete the project through transparent online system. All the transactions are performed in a secured manner using Hash-based Message Authentication Code (HMAC) algorithm and further, the amount transaction is managed by block chain technology. In order to achieve this, a web page that supports for transparent online transactions that are related to construction works is developed and the results also discussed.
