New Structure of Broad Band Coaxial-Rectangular Waveguide Transition in UHF Band

A broad band coaxial-rectangular waveguide transition at UHF-band is developed in this paper.This transition employs a new structure that a stepped probe and two tuning screws in the broad wall of the rectangular waveguide are selected.The transition' s performance has been tested practically.The result is characterized by a total return loss below -31 dB in the 490～750 MHz frequency band(rectangular waveguide' s TE10 single-mode operation bandwidth) and below -30 dB in the 483～782 MHz frequency band.
