New soft-switching inverter with auxiliary resonant snubbers using pulse current feedback transformer

In this paper, a practical design procedure for prototype of the auxiliary resonant commutated snubber circuit (ARCS) incorporating a current feedback frequency transformer with power regeneration loop is described. For three phase voltage fed soft-switching inverter, soft-switching active power filter and reactive power compensator. This topology has significant merit of effective current rating reduction for auxiliary active switching devices in the ARCS. This also paper presents a novel version of digitally-controlled voltage-source type space vector-modulated inverter with ARCS which can operate under a zero voltage soft-switching condition. The steady-state operating analysis of ARCS has the remarkable features and the practical design procedure of this resonant snubber are illustrated on the basis of computer simulation analysis. The operating performance of this soft-switching inverter with ARCS and its evaluations in the steady-state are discussed as compared with conventional three phase voltage source space vector modulated inverter operating at hard switching-transition mode.
