A dictionary of statistical terms

This dictionary is seen as exemplifying the objectives of the International Statistical Institute: to provide leadership in the evolution of statistics as an integrated discipline, to contribute to a common understanding between statisticians and their clients and to help in evolving a broader appreciation of statistics through improved teaching of discipline. This standard reference work has been revised and updated to include 400 new entries based on a study of the literature published on statistics over the past 10 years. It will be of benefit for theoretical and empirical statisticians, for the teaching of statistics and for those in other disciplines using statistics.
