Analysis of the electron and muon components of extensive air showers at an observation level of 700 g cm-2 with the help of a scale breaking interaction model

Analysis of the EAS electron and muon components obtained in the Tien-Shan experiment shows that the secondary particle multiplicity depends on the interaction energy in the range approximately 1015 eV essentially more strongly than is predicted from accelerator experiments. A primary mixed composition rich in protons is the most probable.
