Filter optimization in SDN-based flexgrid networks

The novel super-filter technique for flexgrid optical networks is proposed to compact spectrum-contiguous lightpaths. The technique is applied in a specifically extended SDN architecture, showing significant gains in terms of spectral efficiency.
