The development and validation of a computational foot and ankle model

An anatomically accurate finite element model of the human foot and ankle was generated using data from sequential CT scans. The model was used to predict the response of the foot to tibial forces of 150 N. The results of the simulation were validated with data from cadaveric experimentation.
